Prof. Dr. Ira Diethelm is a member of the board of the German Informatics Society and has been a full-time professor at the University of Oldenburg since 2008, where she is responsible for teacher training in informatics. During her career at the University of Oldenburg, she was entrusted with various positions, such as deputy head of the Didactic Centre or administration of the endowed professorship "Informatics in Teaching". Before that, she was a teacher of mathematics, chemistry and computer science at a secondary school in Braunschweig, where she also worked as an EDP network administrator and media officer. In current projects, she is particularly committed to digital education and the necessary training and further education of all teachers.
