Prof. Dr. Sebastian Lehnhoff

Professor at the University of Oldenburg

Sebastian Lehnhoff studied computer science at the Technical University of Dortmund and received his doctorate in spring 2010 from the Chair of Operating Systems and Computer Architecture. From 2010 to 2015, he was Junior Professor for Energy Informatics at Carl von Ossietzky University - an endowed professorship of the OFFIS Institute for Computer Science. Since 2016, Sebastian Lehnhoff has been Professor of Energy Informatics at the University in Oldenburg and a member of the OFFIS Board of Directors, becoming Chairman of the Board in 2020. As spokesperson for the Energy R&D area, he is responsible for research topics in the field of intelligent energy systems, so-called smart grids, and is active in a large number of working groups, specialist groups and committees that deal with the digitalisation of the energy industry.
