Call for Papers zur EnviroInfo 2022

The EnviroInfo 2022 is the 36^th edition of the long standing and established international and interdisciplinary conference series on leading environmental information and communication technologies. Combining and shaping national and international activities in the field of applied informatics and environmental informatics in making the world a better place for living, the EnviroInfo conference series aims at presenting and discussing the latest state-of-the-art development on ICT and environmental related fields.

One special focus on this years’ conference will be led on the topic Computational Sustainability and its relationship to Environmental Informatics. Therefore, EnviroInfo 2022 welcomes papers that are related to topics like:

• Digitalization and Sustainability

• Green in IT, Green by IT and their Relationships

• Green Data Centres

• Green Software Engineering, Green Coding

• Green Environmental Management Information Systems

However, due to the interdisciplinary character of environmental informatics there is a wide range of topics that were already central to previous conferences and will be still in the heart of the EnviroInfo 2022. Examples include:

Moreover, EnviroInfo 2022 welcomes papers, where ICT technologies play a crucial role to achieve the sustainability development goals of the United Nations (SDGs) in context of the Agenda 2030 and to support societal transformation processes. Therefore, all contributors are asked to explicitly assign their contribution to one or more Sustainability Goal of the UN.

As an important result of this year's conference, we want to develop a map that shows which of the SDGs are actually more strongly supported by environmental informatics and which are not yet on the environmental informatics’ radar screen.

Therefore, EnviroInfo 2022 will be organized in a Main track and Special Tracks focusing on certain SDGs or on a special topic.

Submission Types

As in previous years, there will be two types of submissions which will be published: Full Research Paper and Short Paper/Work in Progress Paper. Furthermore, a poster submission and a talk only presentation is also possible, but without any publication.
