Prof. Dr. Volker Wohlgemuth

Prof. Dr. Volker Wohlgemuth has been a full professor at HTW Berlin since the winter semester 2005/2006 in the fields of material flow management, modeling and simulation, and the application and development of business environmental information systems (BUIS). He has also worked for many years in the field of discrete-event simulation and its application in corporate environmental protection to improve the resource efficiency of companies. In numerous publications, he has investigated the use of this methodology, particularly in conjunction with software tools for material flow analysis. Besides conducting potential analyses in the field of energy and material efficiency (from 2006 to 2010 Prof. Wohlgemuth was an accredited material efficiency consultant at the German Material Efficiency Agency (DEMEA), especially for SMEs, Prof. Wohlgemuth is engaged in the development of mobile, reusable and extensible software in the field of corporate environmental informatics.
